The mission of Andrew H. Wilson Charter School is to provide a challenging, enriching, and meaningful curriculum that educates, nurtures, and respects the individual student and the diverse community of learners in an environment that is safe and conducive to learning. We are committed to helping build character and leadership in our students. Our students are the fabric of our community.
It is our philosophy and vision that the ultimate ability of our students to achieve success will lie in the commitment of the school community, and the community-at-large working together to create an environment that promotes academic excellence, civic responsibility, character development, leadership, and confidence, as well a love of and appreciation for learning.
Andrew H. Wilson Charter School was born out of the Broadmoor neigborhood's strong desire and need to have a neighborhood school. The people of Broadmoor rallied to reopen Andrew H. Wilson Charter School following 2005's devastating Hurricane Katrina.
